About

Story

This stone building in 2012 was just a brambeled broken down cow shed with ash trees growing inside and all it needed was a face-lift and to breadth new life into it. We could see this building had loads of potential. My hubby stabilised the building to prevent it falling into further disrepair, built it up and pointed the stone walls of the building to roof high . In 2015 he roofed it. It was then we decided this building had more to offer so we decided to turn it into a workshop.
We named it "The Haggart" which means a small enclosed field or garden patch.

"The Haggart" stands in the centre of a courtyard within stone walls on the farm.

THE FIRST PROJECT

I love lavender, the scent and the stories and health benefits about it. I started researching all about lavender and decided to sow a small plot to see if our climate would suit it. It was sown in Spring 2016 and harvested that Summer and hung to dry in "The Haggart".

I continued researching ideas to what else i could do with this space and came up with idea of keeping it crafty and to run workshops or rent the space for workshops.
Monthly Art workshops was the first which went really well.
Now we are in 2018 all going well will continue to furthur our plans
